UPDATED: JUL 2, 2013 very recent bottle from Veux-Tu. Not so bitter, but definite rye, sweetness, toasted malt. More hops in finish. Decently drinkable.Brown with lots of head, thick lace.

Bottle, 6%, IBU 58. Hazy dark amber/brown with big off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, biscuit, dark fruit, hop, grass and notes of brett Flavour is malt, caramel, biscuit, notes of brett, little dark fruit, medium sweet, little dry, grass and medium bitter.

Caramelly aroma, some rye spiciness. A bit thin. Reddish brown, small tight head. Rich spicy rye grain taste, sweet caramelly malts. Finish pleasantly bitter, quite herbal, a bit soapy, woody. Medium full palate, some of which is residual sugars. Decently woody bitter.

341ml bottle (Alus Celle, Riga). Slightly hazy dark amber color. Medium size, off-white head, stays. Bready, rye, roast and caramel in aroma. Roast, bit of smokiness, bready, rye in taste. Rye bread in aftertaste. Slightly buttery mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Bitter?

This is a nice surprise. A Rye beer. Very nice appearance: beautiful amber color with firm creamy head. The taste is full, slightly bitter, hop, a tad sweet with a creamy mouthfeel. Very nice!

341ml bottle at Alus Celle, Riga. Pours slightly hazy reddish amber, thick off-white head stays nicely. Aroma of rye, fruits, warermelon, nuts. Taste of dark rye bread crust, caramel, mild smokiness. Bready aftertaste, bit oily. Medium + bodied, average carbo. Really snooth and tasty, what a nice found for a first Canadian tick.
