[Bottle (750ml) shared w/ HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o j&m] Pours an oily-looking dark brown, almost black, with an average size diminishing light-brown head. Aroma is a bit odd, it's sweet along with coffee and green peppers, then some lactose, roasted malt and a bit of chocolate. Flavour's better, it's still sweet -- and boozy -- with roasted malt, coffee and a long bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel. Average bodied. Not as good as expected, just good.

2017-07-13. Black body, nice brown head fades. 3++ Aroma has very interesting coffee character, dry dusty roast has an earthy undertone. Muted dark malt and whispers of cocoa. 7++ Flavour has sweet rich base, fruit undertones, lots of coffee, roast and cocoa, bitter but less harsh than some coffee beers. 7+ Smooth medium bodied palate, soft carbonation. 3++ Pretty solid - I enjoyed it quite a bit and I’m not always a fan of coffee beers. 8/4/7-8/4/16 Bottle from Trackside Liquor, Medicine Hat, AB.

Draft. Dark brown pour. Aroma is briney cocoa coffee. Flavor is berry sweetish chocolate. Not in the same league as the columbian for some strange reason.

On tap chez gibb in rouyn Noranda. Jet black pour mm beige head. Intense Aroma of roasted, burnt malts and strong dark, almost burnt coffee. Silky mouth feel, luscious carb. Finish is medium to highly bitter, with a strong coffee finish, and intense roast. Great stuff. An important stout/cold coffee combo.
