PanMarek (401) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2017
Slightly cloudy, pale yellow pour with thick, fine foam that fades into a rocky cap. Lots of tart, musty yeast in the nose with some floral elements around the edges. Some herbal notes emerge along with some saline and mineral through the tartness. Light / medium body, perhaps slightly watery with active, visible fizz. Familiar Dupont mineral flavors (sulfur?) and phenol and a surprising bright pilsner malt streak. The spices are a little muted, but stand well on top of the malt. The tartness is much less noticeable on the tongue. The finish is slightly sweet, not as dry as expected. I suspect the comparatively low rating has to do with the malt presence and the slightly bitter finish. The low ABV makes it very refreshing and drinkable. Very easy to imagine it on a hot summer’s day.

Idiosynkrasie (7231) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 23, 2017
250ml bottle. Milky, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal-spicy yeasty and minimally rotten-fruity aroma, sweet-ish gherkin-dill-brine-yellow apple-pear-conglomerate. Taste is slightly sweet, minimally bready malty, herbal-spicy yeasty and minimally tart-ish fruity, hints of pear, yellow apple, a touch of brine and dill; thin and slightly watery. Excellent light summer beer.

250 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 3.5%. Pale straw colour, only slightly hazy, moderate to small white head. Strong aroma of grass and weed, some of it rotting. Refreshing dry flavour with yeasty and mildly spicy notes, also hints of citrus and herbs. Moderate hops.

Bottle from Beergium. Aroma is light wheaty, bready malt, peppery yeast, hay, soft spicy notes and a slight touch of fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and lightly bitter. Body is light, fairly watery. A bit weak, not very impressive, but a decent thirst quencher.

the aroma is fruity and herbal with shades of sweet citrus, hay, banana and yeast... the taste is fruity and malty with notes of orange and lemon peel, yeast, straw and candy... sweet, dry and, a little bit, bitter aftertaste...

muzzlehatch (4939) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 30, 2016
Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #60. 750 ml bottle, as "Dupont Avril", shared with my friends in St. Louis Park, MN, I think while playing AD&D, in August 2008. Pale, opaque bright gold with a bit of white head, fully lasting...very funky, somewhat lambic-like (though I think there is no brett here) nose, dry grassy hops and light pale malts, a bit of barnyard (sileage) and sour fruits...very, very dry throughout the body, quite refreshing, somewhat mineralic and stony finish, the funky character is much less evident here...just a touch thin, but the soft and velvety texture makes up for this somewhat. Good and highly quaffable but certainly not up to some of Dupont’s other products.

0.25 l bottle from K-Citymarket Ojamo, Lohja. A reminder that not all Belgian ales and saisons are stuffed with ABV. This looks like a witbier - cloudy and pale. Taste is spicy, but there are no spices. So it must be the hops then. Taste is a bit on the low side, but this is made for easy drinking.
