Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer&Beyond, Tel Aviv. Hazy yellow with frothy and bubbly white head. Spicy and yeasty aroma with notes of yogurt, apricot and pear. Spicy and yeasty flavor, a bit alcoholic with notes of citrus, sweetish, dry. Lively carbonation, medium to full-bodied. Very nice.

Hazy orange color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted dough, rye bread, earth, pepper, and grass. Taste of earth, grass, toasted dough, grains, pepper, dry finish.

Aroma is spices, Belgian yeast and citrus. The flavor is Belgian yeast/candy, spices, fruit, malts and a mix of mild sweetness and tart in the finish.

Draft at the Sovereign. Cloudy pale yellow color, thick white head. Aroma of herbal straw. Taste is smooth straw, slightly medicinal. OK.

Draft pour at The Sovereign. Poured a dark golden yellow-orange color with a white head. Aroma was grassy notes, light sweetness - smells like a gluten free beer, that slight plastic fruit sweetness.

4 oz pour on draft at The Sovereign shared by radagast83, thanks Chris! Hazy straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of honey, syrup, sweet potato. Tastes of honey, herbs, baked sweet potato. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

A steady pour into my large Tripel Karmeliet tulip produces a five-finger thick, including some above the rim, pale tan colored head. The beer is a light honey looking color that shows a brilliantly clear, orange-gold hue when held up to the light. The beer smells of dried straw, fresh threshed grain, sun baked pale grain crackers backed by light notes of pear, and some floral apple notes, as well as some spicy, peppery, herbal, and musty, earthy, fermentation character. I really do love the balanced complexity of a Dupont Saison.

The beer has a spritzy, peppery, effervescent carbonation that matches nicely with the light body. There is a sweet grain character to the finish here, despite the beer being quite dry overall. There is a solid spicy, fermentation character that contributes flavors of pepper, spicy, green herbal notes, perhaps even a touch of menthol. There is a solid grainy character here, definite sunbaked straw, light cracker like notes, and a touch of rustic bread like grain; this balances a fruit character that is floral, pear like, with a hint of apple, and has a bit of a green, tropical character to it. There is a light acidity to the finish that accentuates the fruit character here, and it melds well with a solid, lightly biting, hop bitterness.

This is a more than solid Saison; it doesn’t have the grain complexity that regular Saison Dupont does, but that is to be expected, though it happens to be quite a bit more tasty than a lot of Saisons out there.

From a large cork and wire bottle. Hazy light golden body topped by a durable white head. Yeasty, fruity aroma. Fruity flavor. Both the flavor and the aroma have moderately high complexity. Drinks like a very flavorful but light Belgian tripel.

Pouring at Where The Wild Beers Are 2015. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Soft musky grain on the nose Medium bodied, funky. Musky and slowly developing with grain into the finish.
