Brewed in Belgium using Dupont’s 172-year-old brewing equipment, techniques, and its revered yeast strain, this collaboration marries the two brewer’s Saison styles and adds American Amarillo and Simcoe hops. The result of this kinship is a dry, refreshing Old World Saison full of peppery spice that finishes with New World flavors of floral orange and earthy pine.

Deux Amis will be available in kegs and 750 ml bottles.

My Bottom Line:
Peppery spiciness meet herbal hops and bread dough in this impeccable, comforting strong Saison.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam clings to the misty golden shine.
-Alcohol warmth and light sugars contribute to the palate’s well-being.
-This is clearly Dupont-made.
-Drinkability is high despite the beer’s potency.

Bottle.

Draft. Aroma of spices, rugbrød with leverpostej. Malty with spices, moderate sweet. Not that spicy as it tends to get with saisons. Well balanced.

Draught at Bootleggers Craft Beer Bar, Cph. Hazy, golden colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, yeasts, peppers. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with earthy notes and fruits. Excellent, complex Saison
