I had a Paterno-labeled version of this, said it was only 98 calories. It was pretty bland - light corn malt flavor and loads of carbonation in a light yellow beer. Not one I would wish to try again.

You can’t beat this light beer for the price and flavor. It’s light, but still has character in the malt and hops. For the style (for what it was), I found it delightful.

Pours from a bottle like a typical pale lager. I do however mention that it made a big ’pop’ when I opened it. Clean fresh aroma with a hint of slag. Very light palte, reminds me quite a bit of many lion brews I’ve had from eastern PA. Easy going and friendly for the msot part. Seems to lack many of the city brewing attributes I’m so familiar with. You’d think since was brwed in latrobe at melanie brewing that it would be a little difficult but it really is not. Pretty good sizzly co2 makes it even more likable. Finish is mild and friendly. Not bad but not as good as IC light.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7489) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright yellow-golden color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was faintly sour, tangy and industrial with notes of corn and citric acid. The flavor was tangy and industrial with note so cardboard, corn and citric acid. Short finish of tangy corn. Light body. Unimpressive.

This is one of the more pleasing light beer experiences that I have had. It does not have the more watered down taste that is the staple of so many light beers and yet does not become to heavy because of it.

Back in it’s heyday, Duquesne Brewery did not make a light beer. Overall, a clear, clean, crisp, refreshing light brew. thin feel, average carbonation, light body, most bars/restaurants are carrying this beer. Good for a light beer.

This poured a very light yellow color with a white head. Aroma was mainly corn and water. Flavor was much the same, a bit on the sweet side, but certainly nothing offensive.
