Bomber poured a hazy gold with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of wheat, cookie and light blueberry. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of wheat, cookie and light blueberry with a smooth lightly dry lingering blueberry finish.

liked slightly better than the regular wheat. more florals along with a dose of sweet berry aroma and hint of tartness in the flavor. still not a favorite, but better.

Bottle @ home. I picked this up for the gf a while back and it’s been chilling (pardon the pun) in the back of the fridge for quite a while. Clear, golden yellow appearance with a white head. Slightly tart, fresh blueberry, citrusy wheat aroma. Soft mouth feel. Tasty, fresh blueberry, slightly bready, wheat malty flavor. Surprisingly a tasty enough blueberry wheat that it reminds me of New England versions.

On tap during 2011 Craft Lager Fest. Hazy straw color with a fluffy white head. Smells like blueberry yogurt. Tasted pretty crisp and light, with some assertive blueberry tones, but refrains from being too sweet. But not too flavorful either. Too crisp and wheaty and ’meh’.

Pours clear orange with thin to no white head from 12 oz bottle. Got this in a make your own 6 pack and didn’t expect much. Aroma was really nice however, sweet blueberry and crisp fruity wheat mix with some nice cake-y and biscuit bread, make for a blueberry muffin of sorts. Taste is not quite as good, the sweetness of blueberry overtakes a bit and the finish leaves some to be desired. However, there are notes of blueberry muffin up front, with the blueberry, wheat and sweet cake, finishes a bit watery and carbed a bit much, but overall this is pretty tasty.

Hazy gold appearance with a slim head. Pretty nice blueberry character as it isn’t overstated. Tried at the brewery in 2011.

12 oz bottle. 4.9% ABV per the label, which makes for a different recipe from the original. Pours a medium, well retained, off white head, over a quite hazy, light amber (SRM 7) body, with much cloudy yeast at the end of the pour.......nose is blueberry with raspberry tones, light wheat, no hops......taste is mildly sweet with blueberry, light raspberry spice, mild wheat malts, finishing sweet with lingering berry, no hops.....mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation, with mild acid. It is interesting that the berry notes in both aroma and flavor cross between dominant blueberry and much lighter raspberry type tones. It makes for a berry, berry good beer, with the quite light wheat malts. The underlying base wheat beer is relatively hidden. Below to style, above to enjoyment. BJCP 6/3/11/4/6

6/26/2015: I typically avoid beers like this, but figured that I might as well drink local and something that I hadn’t had yet, so Durango Blueberry Wheat Ale was what was available on tap... To my surprise, the beer was actually pretty good. The blueberry was floral and fruity, but not overdone or artificial. I didn’t mind a pint of this at all and went down really well after a long day on the hot trail! Draught (pint) at Handlebars Food & Saloon in Silverton, CO.
