I thought this was pretty tasty. And I start color, this have some dark chocolate notes to it that are pretty enjoyable. Smooth to drink wlajwl (7205) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - OCT 17, 2012
Relatively cloudy for an ADL, the aroma is toffee, nutty malts and caramel sweetness. The flavor is toffee, medium sweet malts, caramel, low bitterness and a smooth finish. jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - OCT 31, 2006
12oz bottle-pours a tan head and dark red/brown color with effervescence. Aroma is malt-chocolate. Taste is medium malt-chocolate, nice secondary hops with some bite. OK/good effervescence. hellbilly (3306) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - JAN 3, 2011
picked up a bottle at wagon wheel 7/17/10.
pale porter color with an off white head.
it smells of caramel, wort, chocolate, roast, cream and a touch of citrus.
it tastes the same only with a fruitiness added akin to plums and some spiciness from the hops.
the body is a bit thin but really easy to quaff. it gets creamy and rich when consumed directly from the bottle. 7/3/7/3/14/3.4

Bottle @ home. Dark brown appearance with a light brown head. Toasty, dark chocolate, toffee, caramel malty aroma. Somewhat creamy. Dark caramel, toffee chocolate flavor. Easy drinking brew. Strykzone (7797) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2012
12 oz. bottle received in a trade with arminjewell. This beer is very dark brown and has a beige head of one finger. Some earthy grain is in the nose and those are also tasted. Molasses notes. A creamy feel is nice. Just a hint of toasted and roasted notes. Hops are almost non-existent but they do a dash of fruit. Chocolate grows to the finish. Easy to drink because it is so sweet but not a great beer. cthomas2390 (228) - Colorado, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Pours black/brown with little head. Muted malty aroma. Malty and roasty notes finish with a residual hop bitterness that isn’t quite the lager standard of ’crisp’. Lays on your tongue for a bit. Medium body and carbonation and pretty well balanced. Good beer that doesn’t quite fit the ’Vienna lager’ label. GTAEgeek (2497) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 13, 2017
On tap at the All Colorado Beer Festival. Pours black, with a small, frothy, khaki head. Smells of ripe apples, caramel, butterscotch, and syrup. Sweet and yeasty, with a mild bitterness. Light body, creamy, and a little fizzy. This is a pretty easy, fruity, enjoyable lager. Fun. drjay44 (3889) - Salida, Colorado, USA - FEB 15, 2013
draft. Pours a medium, well retained, ivory head, with extensive lacing, over a clear dark brown (SRM 30) body.....nose is light cocoa, light cereal, hints of coffee.....taste is light cereal, cocoa, hints of coffee, finishing with light bitterness......mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds a large tingle, and slight creaminess. This meets the style, and is surprisingly aromatic and flavorful given the low standards for an American Dark Lager. BJCP 7/3/1/4/4/7
