Btl pours a cloudy yellow-orange color. Huge creamy offwhite head that is tight. It lingers for a while leaving nice lace on glass. Aromas of malt, pine, herbs and a whiff of butter. Tastes of piney hops, caramel, lemon & grapefruit. Medium body, perfect carbonation, soft mouthfeel and a mellow bitter finish. I like how the malt shines, but the hops just don’t pop. It needs some more balance, maybe a different dry hop. Still a good beer, just needs a little refinement! Thx to j-Matt for the btl. StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - MAR 12, 2016
12 oz bottle. Nice looking copper color with a big off-white head that has good retention. Aroma of caramel and some bitter pine resins. Taste is pretty much the same as the nose. Bitterness is for bitterness sake and does not impart much flavor on its own. Palate is medium, finishes short and sweet. Overall: meh Bartzilla (622) - La Mesa, California, USA - OCT 29, 2015
Not gonna complain. It’s what it says, though a little bit too malty for return purchases. It’s hoppy enough to be an ipa, but nothing notable going on. Don’t get me wrong, not a bad beer. Just nothing special. Smells alright, neat label, tastes average, etc. You know the drill. nuplastikk (6412) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 3, 2015
12oz bottle. Antiquated 90s tasting ipa. Malty backbone, some boring hops. Not really much going on. Buttery pine aroma. Unimpressive stuff. shigadeyo (3764) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 20, 2015
Nice dry hopped aroma that?s herbal and earthy with a touch of cedar, golden color, fruity maly, a bit of toffee, good herbal hoppiness in the flavor, balanced, medium body. Quite enjoyable while at the Dock Dog Competition in Durango, CO.

Amber bodied with a modest ecru head and spotty lace, this ale had an aroma of grapefruit and zest, some floral scents, and a light malt sweetness. The flavor was hop forward, more of the grapefruit and zest, with a moderate level of bitterness and some soft caramel sweetness. Not bad, quaffable, but rather mild for the IPA category. It definitely needs more hop bite. montanabeerman (9) - Bozeman, Montana, USA - NOV 16, 2013 does not count
Bottle. Nice aroma: spicy, citrusy hints of tropical fruit and something I’ll call candied banana. Taste is composed of a quick shot of sweet caramel, spice followed by a long grapefruit bitterness. Fizzy and light without being watery. Pretty solid IPA though, not sure either why this gets low ratings. I’m not a huge fan of the grapefruit bitterness but I take it as part of the AIPA style these days. daniele (9530) - ITALY - SEP 11, 2013

12oz bottle. Pours a very hazy golden color with foamy off-white head. Aroma is floral hops with a touch of citrus. Flavor is mellowly bitter. Medium bodied with smooth finish. Not bad, but certainly not my favorite. jsquire (4559) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - MAR 15, 2013
Clear amber color out of the bottle with a thin off white color. Light grapefruit rind nose. Flavorful grapefruit rind, orange juice and coarse bread flavors. Very nice if typical Pacific Northwest IPA.
