Tasting at the pad of the ever gracious Bruce. Thanks to Josh for this one. Hazy deep amber - brown beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft. Mild fine carbonation. Smooth malt with light cream. Little cherry led generic fruits. Light and tangy ripe orange. Smooth finish.
Bottle from Kris Wines shared at Bruce’s pad. Pours clear dark brown with a faint beige head. Nose is very doughy and honey forward with a nice kick of tarty cherries and sweet raspberry. Taste is more juicy and tarty with cranberries and cherries the focus. Quite sweet and ripe but works well with the balancing tart. A touch sugary. Solid drop Leighton (23686) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2014
Bottle shared in London - big thank you to Josh. Pours amber-brown with a creamy tan cap. The aroma holds bread, ripe berries, mild leaves. Light to medium sweet flavor with blueberries, grapes, sugary bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, light cocoa, cherries, other berries. Pretty tasty stuff. sic1314 (4773) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2013
Poured ruby red with a small white head. Aroma of sour fruit. Medium body, flavour of the aroma, cherry/berry and quite yeasty. Not bad, but not convinced it was meant to be like this. MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - DEC 21, 2013
Bottle @ Deans Winter Shelter Tasting, courtesy of dEnk. Pours a clear, deep purple beer with a decent amount of off white head on top. Aroma is fruity, light sour and has some green apples or something in there. Flavor is again quite fruity and stringent. Dry finish and a fruity aftertaste. Decent. worldbeertaste (1823) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 20, 2013
Dark brown with a red tint and a white, thin, lacy, lasting tan head. Smells of red fruit, stale malt and vegetable. Soft of rot. Medium frothy oily body. Tastes of berries and sour fruit with a malt and a bit of rot in the fruit.
