Yay for English brewers making anything that isn’t an average bitter. 500ml bottle. Orange gold with a large but quickly fading off white head. Aroma is not hugely Belgian. Flavour gets back with some Belgian yeast, caramel, vanilla, some sweet malts, little lemon and citrus. Very mellow and almost watery (but not detrimentally so). Will certainly drink again, nice. nickd717 (4679) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 14, 2010
500ml bottle shared by alfrantzell. Thanks, Arne! Pours a hazy orangish-golden color with a huge white head and good lacing. The aroma has Belgian yeast, fruity esters, apple, and sweet pale malt. Sweet malty base on the flavor with sweet apple, banana, pear, vanilla, and Belgian yeast. Smooth and creamy with great soft carbonation, medium body, and an excellent lightness. Solid beer overall. Deep and cheesy aroma. Super intense perfumed booziness in the mouth. Very floral but with a rich caramel character. A little unrefined but quite pleasant.

Bottle from Mr Lawrence’s Wine Merchants, Brockley. Pours a cloudy orange colour with a white long lasting head. Floral aromas as well as citrus, herbs, heather. Rich citrus flavours with caramel, toffee, barley sugars, sweet spices. Good bitter-sweet warming finish. BeerChaser0078 (909) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 26, 2009
500ml Bottle. Cloudy orange pour with an off-white head. Malty, fruity aroma, hints of honey, oranges, lavender with a noticeable whiff of alcohol. Flavour has some hops, citrus, toffee, marmalade and spice. Combination of sweet and bitter on the palate with a fairly long finish. Kind of like a barley wine, this is refreshing and easy drinking, maybe not as well crafted as some other Durham beers but well worth a go. anders37 (26605) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUL 18, 2009
