COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mainly available Bottle Conditioned. Has appeared on cask occasionally.
Full bodied Maris Otter malt with a small addition of wheat and Vienna malt are aromatised by a typical Belgian charge of coriander. The result is a smooth, sweetish, luscious and fruity experience. The peach and orange notes of the malt base are enhanced by the judicious use of a single American hop, centennial. A very satisfying beer with a Belgian character.

This is an interesting Belgian Triple style beer that I prefer to some Belgian Triples from Belgium! The mouthfeel is very syrupy and there is a spiced or herbal taste which i can’t define. A top quality Durham beer.

500ml Bottle from Fenwick's, Newcastle (£3.99):
Quite an interesting beer, this one opened with a huge amount of sweetness & fruits on the nose with some caramel malts towards the end but come the taste these characteristics took more of a backseat as the alcohol content of the beer made itself known alongside, although there was still some fruits & sweetness at this point too. It was a strong beer with a light body, still easy to drink but one with a definite kick towards the end too.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2017 Bottle – pours an almost clear amber colour with a small off white head. The aroma is sweet malts and fruity with notes of straw and brandy. The taste is moderately sweet, dark sweet fruit, raisin and prune, caramel malt and orange peel flavours. A warm alcohol, spicy wood bitterness in the finish.

Shared a bottle (50cl) with Huub at the end of the beernight. A good tripel, not the sweetness of some Belgian tripels, but a bitterness in it. Liked it! Thanks Huub for a special evening!
