Hazy deep gold beer, decent pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry and crisp. Sweetish airy malts, light dry milky sweetness. Trace of floral dried fruits. Pinch of spice. Light dry finish. Not the worst tripel I’ve tried.
Bottle at home ... Oh an english strong ale... i thougth this very belgian in flavour ... nice crisp copper ... sweet toffee... yeasty fruity berrylike medium bitterness long linger ...not balanced for me... struggling with it. fiulijn (20427) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 18, 2008

It has a beautiful dark amber color, with a thin persistent head. The aroma is mild. It’s full bodied, with a quite round mouthfeel, and a good caramel and malt flavor, and the sweetness level that I like; I mean, the body really makes you want more of it. The final is balanced between the caramel, the sweetness and the bitterness, with a pleasant alcohol warmth.
Said so, it’s far from being exciting. At times it has a slightly metallic aftertaste, and an impression of vegetables, so probably they can choose a different yeast…
