Golden. Foamy, white head. Moderate aroma of candy sugar, green apples and cinnamon. Equally moderate taste of green apples, fermented plums and dried fruit. Fruity aftertaste. Drier than expected from a barley wine. More a like strong Belgian blond than a Barley wine. OllieBBommel (1531) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 10, 2014

Head: off-white, shrinking fast. Colour: clear golden. Aroma: delicate hops, some malt. Taste: mild bitter. Palate: smooth, alcoholic finish, low CO2. Overall: nice.

Barwa: złocista, lekko zmętniona. Piana biała, drobno pęcherzykowa, średniej wielkości, względnie szybko opadająca, ale ładnie oblepiająca szkło.
Aromat: niezbyt intensywny, głównie słodowy, z lekką domieszką chmielu (jakby lekkie cytrusy) i wyraźną nutą alkoholową. Jakby pale ale skrzyżowany z heller bockiem.
Smak: pełny, słodowy, nieco słodki wyraźnie alkoholowy. Goryczka umiarkowana, delikatnie cytrusowa.
UXO (1896) - CANADA - MAY 25, 2014
Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with one finger of fluffy white head settling rapidly to a compact cap and light lacing. Nose is dominated by sweet candi malt and toffee, with a little dark fruit in the background. Taste is similar, leading out with sweet malt followed rapidly by plums and raisins, with a mildly bitter finish. Mouth feel is medium to full-bodied, slick and slightly creamy, with a distinct alcohol warming.
A pleasant enough barley wine, but not a lot of depth to the flavour. The alcohol warming also tends a bit to the harsh. Decent, but not great. kbudd19 (1019) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 6, 2014
Bottle, pretty old I think (best before May 2014) golden apricot pour, one finger of white head. Aroma is sweet candy sugar, sticky toffee, somewhat sour also. Taste, bitter up front, which tones down quickly and gives way to some subtle hops, fizzy carbonation, soft mouthfeel, some malty sweetness but not overwhelming or rich, a little bit of butterscotch and exceptionally smooth. Overall its not going to blow you away with complexity but its well rounded, smooth and for a barley wine very easy to drink.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2014 First barley wine I’ve had in many a year. Lighter colour than I expected - dark yellow to orange. The apple taste hits first, followed by other strong fruits which for me balance off the alcohol strength very well. Very nice. Pay heed to the note on the label describing this as a lively beer - I lost the top third of the bottle to the kitchen floor! GreenJeremy (71) - Spruce Grove, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 24, 2014
pours hazy copper, no head. Aroma is very fruity, plums, raisins, black currant and some apple. caramel and some spicy notes also evident. Taste is similar to the aroma, medium sweetness, and a spicy bitter finish. medium mouthfeel. JesseMartineau (91) - Alberta, CANADA - FEB 24, 2014
550ml bottle. Pours hazy Cooper with almost zero head. Aromas of Grapefruit, dried apple, dried apricot, peach and caramel. Tastes caramel sweetness, dried apricot, finishes off a little bitter, and even a touch of dryness. gegwilson (3702) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2014
Bottle from the brewery. Amber, slightly hazy beer with a white head. Sweet at first with pear drops, caramel and yeast flavours. Nice stuff. artyom (1112) - Osijek, CROATIA - FEB 9, 2014
0,5l bottle. Hazy copper color with big beige head. Aroma is citrus and floral hops with some fruit notes. Taste is medium bitter with nice sweet malt and caramel notes along with some fruits. Medium to full body and flat to average carbonation. Very complex beer.
