(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE Feb 2016, at Kitty’s, 20130725) The beer poured reddish brown and clear. Its heaf was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had malts, alcohol and caramell. Palate was almost full bodied and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramell, sweetness, hint of saltiness and low bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. The beer left a harsh feeling. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 25, 2013
500 ml bottle. Gyle 23/7. BB Feb/2016. Kitty's, Helsinki, Finland.
Clear pale amber golden colour with a small white head.
Alcohol, malt and hops in the aroma.
The flavour is malt, Play-Doh, yeast and berries. This is rather blah...

Bottles from Bede’s World, Jarrow; Fenwicks Newcastle and Rehills Newcastle. A hazy dark orange-amber coloured beer with sweet fruit, marzipan and zesty orange hop flavours, warmth and more spicy sweetness on the finish. Velkyal (321) - Gordonsville, Virginia, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Pours a beautiful copper colour, with a thin white head, the nose is a full frontal attack of toffee, canned fruit and citrus peel, and a boozy note chucked in. The sweet caramel taste dominates the drinking, though there is enough of a hop bite to stop it from furring the arteries.

50 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK via The Dram Shop. Appley gold colour, thin head. Somewhat musty caramel and bread aroma, floral-resin faint aroma in the background. Quite smooth, creamy with a sweet caramel flavour, then the hops kick in to balance the sweetness. Decadent in the end. Gerbeer (3758) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 23, 2012
500 ml bottle. Pours a clear amber with no head. Aromas of orange peel and toffee. Light for a barley wine. Flavors of malt, alcohol, bitter hops and a bit of caramel. Sammy (12212) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 6, 2012
American barlywine done by an English brewer, understated hoppiness, and well balanced, nice. Good drinkability. Golden with only a faint head, faint lace. Pleasant malty aroma. The hops kick in on the finish here and its great. Caramel, malty and yet never too sweet. Medium mouth feel, smooth barleywine. A nice brewing job. Thanks Presario madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 3, 2012

Hazy orange beer. A little fruit and caramel in the nose. Soft frothy palate. The creamy head has light orange sherbet fizz! The beer has the same lovely orange but deeper and richer, almost like an orange liquer. Creamy mid and then a touch of lemon coming at the finish of this superior beer.
Pours dark amber with a large, lasting white head.
Nose shows orange marmalade, caramel, grapes. Reminiscent of cognac slightly. Interesting.
Very sweet flavours, some grape notes, a bit of booze showing. Somewhat similar to a tripel, the flavours are rather lighter than most barleywines.
Carbonation is too high for these characters.
