Bottle conditioned. Available occasionally on cask as Priors Gold.
A good robust bitter. Some crystal malt gives a slight golden colour while a dry rich hoppy bitterness makes for a refreshing experience.

Nice light hopped beer which poured with a nice rich head. Did disipate quickly and the finish was a little sweet.

500ml bottle @ Black Door, Helsinki

Pours light orange with a foamy head. Aroma of fresh fruity hops, some caramely malts, hints of grapefruit and berries. Taste is hoppy and bitter with some grassy hops, grapefruit and fruits. Finish is caramely and bitter with slight fruity notes. Nice, quite tasty and hoppy golden ale.

50 cl bottle @ Black Door. ”Gyle 2336, BBE 06/2014
Aroma is somewhat sweet and fruity with some caramel and biscuits. Foamy palate. Flavour has biscuits, fruity hops, some peaches, hints of caramel and hay. A bit too sweet but hoppy and nice still!

Zesty with lots of hop for England. Citrus aftertaste. Quite astringent. Hopefully would improve with chilling ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My first Durham as I was relying to avoid the hype. Not disappointed with my judgement. Fairly run of the mill British beer that you’ll get in many a pub. Lacks interesting flavour. Durham should be doing better. Go have a Moor.

DanielBrown (4500) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2012
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Golden. Smells like painted wallpaper in a bathroom. Surprisingly ordinary. A reasonably balanced bitter, with some smooth UK hops consisting of sweet envelope and lemon scented moistened square. Perfectly quaffable, but could use some flavour and aroma.

dogbomb (1215) - ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2012
Bottle. Slight haze gold with a steady thick white head. Initial nose is very wheaty and malty. Can pick out some lemons and limes too. In the mouth, a nice warm malt sweetness to everything, while there’s a really excellent bitterness which develops as you drink. Dry and zesty, with a mellow bitter palate. Cracking.

berkshirejohn (6451) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 25, 2012
50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Straw coloured with a loose cream head and light carbonation; grainy aroma with a hint of coriander; full bodied with a light honeyed sweetness that is well balanced by the crystal malt; then a dry apricoty, fruity finish. A really well-balanced and satisfying blond ale.

sebletitje (10067) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAY 15, 2012
50cl bottle, BB 05-2013, from Beer City. Note fruitée, herbacée alternant notes tropicales, agrumes orange voire ananas, et une pointe d’épices. Le tout gardant un arrière palais de houblons nobles en amertume. Très légère en bouche, facile pour le beau temps, et on peut facilement en boire qcq pintes. Solide a tous les niveaux.

stravale (3055) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - APR 8, 2012
Bottle from Fenwick, Newcastle
Light amber, clear, good frothy head, good lacing
Aroma of soft spicy hops...light citrus...light caramel malts
Taste of spicy light peppery bitter hops...biscuity light caramel malts..hint of soft fruit in the background....bit of yeast...fairly light flavour
Palate medium carb...bit over-carbonated...light body...slightly oily texture..light tangy bitter. Finish is quite dry..some bitter spicy hops...soft bitter slightly mineraly metallic linger
Overall - I preferred the Magus to this - would like to try this cask as it’s quite refreshing
