Bottle courtesy of Peter Fowler, Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon consumed 14.03.12 amongst a six pack cheers Peter Golden in colour with the merest of haze, little bit of sick with a dab of fruit and hoppiness showing through (despite the mention of sick the nose is actually fine!) Bit of fizziness in mouth with detracts a touch, middling bitterness, touch metallic, but it is quite good. Not as good as the Magus but I like it. 500ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that settles to leave some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is flowery and citrus hops and lightly toasted malts. Taste is nicely balanced between the citrus hop bitterness and light malty sweetness. Light to medium body and moderat carbonation. A nice and tasty bitter which I enjoyed sampling. mr_h (5434) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - MAR 6, 2012

Bottle at home. Pale orange amber, bubbly off-white head fades to barely anything. Fruity apricot, hint of grassy apple hop, sweet malt nose. Palate is dry and spiced, hints of pepper, some caramel, slight phenolic notes, soft grassy peppery bitter finish. Not bad. Jacob23_5 (128) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 25, 2012
Bottle at home. Nice reddish-gold colour. Breezy aromas with a little hoppy marmalade and some banana. Flavours of apple and some weirdly pleasant aromatic flavours, like lavender or camomile. Goes down nicely. Very agreeable. Geiserich (4498) - Linz, AUSTRIA - DEC 17, 2011
