Bottle conditioned. Available occasionally on cask as Priors Gold.
A good robust bitter. Some crystal malt gives a slight golden colour while a dry rich hoppy bitterness makes for a refreshing experience.

50cl bottle, BB 05-2013, from Beer City. Note fruitée, herbacée alternant notes tropicales, agrumes orange voire ananas, et une pointe d’épices. Le tout gardant un arrière palais de houblons nobles en amertume. Très légère en bouche, facile pour le beau temps, et on peut facilement en boire qcq pintes. Solide a tous les niveaux.

Bottle from Fenwick, Newcastle
Light amber, clear, good frothy head, good lacing
Aroma of soft spicy hops...light citrus...light caramel malts
Taste of spicy light peppery bitter hops...biscuity light caramel malts..hint of soft fruit in the background....bit of yeast...fairly light flavour
Palate medium carb...bit over-carbonated...light body...slightly oily texture..light tangy bitter. Finish is quite dry..some bitter spicy hops...soft bitter slightly mineraly metallic linger
Overall - I preferred the Magus to this - would like to try this cask as it’s quite refreshing

Bottle courtesy of Peter Fowler, Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon consumed 14.03.12 amongst a six pack cheers Peter Golden in colour with the merest of haze, little bit of sick with a dab of fruit and hoppiness showing through (despite the mention of sick the nose is actually fine!) Bit of fizziness in mouth with detracts a touch, middling bitterness, touch metallic, but it is quite good. Not as good as the Magus but I like it. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov14 3.3

500ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that settles to leave some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is flowery and citrus hops and lightly toasted malts. Taste is nicely balanced between the citrus hop bitterness and light malty sweetness. Light to medium body and moderat carbonation. A nice and tasty bitter which I enjoyed sampling.

50 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK via The Dram Shop. Massive carbonated overflow upon opening. Honey and grapefruit aroma, some cereal grain and cellar. Bright tangy flavour, balanced with slightly more upfront bitterness. Pepper and honey on the finish.

golden brown ale, decent carbonation, maintains a frothy white head. aroma of bread, yeast, grass, fruits and caramel, tastes like it smells, small amount of dryness and bitterness, very nice.

Bottle at home. Pale orange amber, bubbly off-white head fades to barely anything. Fruity apricot, hint of grassy apple hop, sweet malt nose. Palate is dry and spiced, hints of pepper, some caramel, slight phenolic notes, soft grassy peppery bitter finish. Not bad.

Bottle at home. Nice reddish-gold colour. Breezy aromas with a little hoppy marmalade and some banana. Flavours of apple and some weirdly pleasant aromatic flavours, like lavender or camomile. Goes down nicely. Very agreeable.

Bottled: Hazy, pale amber to orange color, creamy head. Light malty, hoppy aroma with notes of berries, citrus and sweetness. Flavor is mainly hoppy, also some malt sweetness and fruitiness. Nice dry, hoppy finish. Good brew but a bit thin.
