A good robust bitter. Some crystal malt gives a slight golden colour while a dry rich hoppy bitterness makes for a refreshing experience.

500ml bottle. Cloudy amber with a frothy white head. Mild hoppy and grassy aroma. A little watery to begin but then come flavours of grass and a little tropical fruit with plenty of hops. A good, lasting bitterness at the end. Malt flavours build as you work your way through the glass. A bit too gassy which made it a bit hard to drink, but pretty nice.

Bottle from the CAMRA stand at the Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC. Hazy golden-amber with a negligible white head. Predominantly malty with mild grass and citrus and a dryish dusty finish. A very English bitter. OK.

Bottle at 134 Bar, Nuneaton, 27/12/15. Thin skimmed misted blonde. Rustic weak privet and finger of Fudge nose. Dour English woodland taste with soggy old crackers.

Clear, golden with white head. Hops aroma is soapy/piney. Full, oily body. Finish is grainy and crisp, oddly like a German pilz. Very tasty.

Sampled from a bottle from the brewery. Poured a golden colour, leaving a heavy sediment in the bottle. White, fluffy head. Taste is light and citrusy with pleasant lemon and mandarin notes. There is a good doughy malt taste, and a light bitterness. A good golden ale.
