Evensong is a rich ruby coloured 20C English bitter. Based on an original recipe from 1937 this beer captures the flavour of its time. Goldings and Fuggles hops combine with darker malts to give a traditional English character.

Dark, deep red/brown ale with a tan head. Satisfying aroma of caramel. Light and easy to drink, mild carbonation with fruity and roasted caramel/toffee notes. Finishes with a pleasant tang. Very enjoyable.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottle from Kris Wines. Poured a hazy dark amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is dry yeast and malt. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a hoppy malt palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Fine for a session.

Clear dark brown - red - amber beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light, airy and slightly crisp. Smooth malt wit a little light airy cream. - semi dry. A whisper of something dark in the malt. Light citric hops, touch of piney lemon. Lactose malt in the semi dry finish. Not bad.

nilsas (4301) - Bryne, NORWAY - NOV 27, 2013
Duft av frukter og krydder. Fin brun farge. Lite skum, litt heng langs kant. Fruktig, eike preget smak med noe krydder.

Holmen1 (6123) - Stavanger, NORWAY - SEP 28, 2013

gunnar (9326) - Sandnes, NORWAY - SEP 24, 2013
Shared bottle at Cardinal.Pours clear mahogany with a small creamy beige head. Aroma of caramel malts, prunes and fruits. Taste is creamy and smooth, nutty malts, herbs and liquorice, lingering herbal, nice one.
