On tap at Bierbistro. Second try at this one because I thought I must have had a bad one my first time. No better the second time so I dont understand the high ratings. Dark amber with a thin head. Some citrus, but overall lacks aroma. Thin in the mouth. Sub-par carbonation. Just not as good as other IPAs out there.

Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #27. Draught pint at Volo in Toronto, July 2008. Smooth, creamy snowy head topping a dark, clear copper body, with a bit of chunky lace...nose is woody, resinous hoppiness, rather dry and brittle...a bit of woody character to the body also, alas turning to sub-wood, that is cardboard in the finish, but theres some decent peachy, juicy sweetness and at least a bit of dry bitter hoppiness as well. It certainly starts out better than it ends, but not a total loss.

tap. Aroma of sweet malt. Poured medium amber with nice lacing. Medium bodied, average carbonation, tart finish. Caramel malt with some peppery spice that finishes fairly dry.

On draft at Beer Bistro. Reddish brown poor. Clear. A bit of head but not much. As expected it smells of hoops, and fresh cut grass. Mouth is very strong. Its not that moisture sucking sour grapefruit, its something else I cant place. Still not really a fan.d

Amber color, with small creamy head. Nice aroma of hops, some hop resins, light yeast. Caramel flavor, semi-dry, with hop resins, strong bitterness, and a bit of dusty and earthy character, unclean. Long final.

On tap @ BeerBistro. Tawny light amber, small white head with delicate lace. Aroma is equal parts grassy and citrus hops, with toasty malts. Malt-forward palate, again quite toasty, with bitter grassy hops in moderation. Decent, but not mind blowing.
