Bar Volo cask. A little sour, great aroma, but its butterscotch. A little red colour. jercraigs (10886) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 8, 2009
2008-01-31. Ruby amber body with a small beige head. Lightly earthy, herbal aroma. Sweet malt, light caramel. Flavour is sweetish malt, caramel, light bitterness grows as you go and lingers in the aftertaste. Smooth average plus palate is lightly carbonated. Pretty decent. Simple and sessionable. I look forward to sampling this one again. Cask at Victory Cafe mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 18, 2009
[1978-20090131] Cask. Caramel chocolate hints and mild grainy aroma. Hazy, amber red body with a quick creamy off-white head. Mildly sour dry malt flavour with mild grains. Medium body. Average.

Deep ruddy amber pour with almost no head at all. Soft iced tea aroma and a little bit of sweet caramel malt. Toasty malt and a little bit of very leafy hop flavour. A bit sweet but it’s a decent enough cask. A touch of chewy bitterness. It’s okay but it’s not great. The cask does work for this one.

Has a really coffee-like smells. Pours with no head, no lacing. Very soft carbonation - almost nothing. Ruby colour. The coffee bitter lasts a little into the taste. There’s some sugary cane sweetness too. On tap at Volos.

A lot of sediment, big chunks of dead yeast. A deep cloudy red colour. Pours with alright suds and lacing. Smells a little oaky and a little smoky. Taste follows through a little bit sour, kind of lagery. I think the whole glory of this one is that it’s on cask - not sure how it would hold up on tap but the cask gives it some character. Had pint at The Rhino.
Cask at the Victory Café. Pours a murky reddish-brown with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, light hops and buttery toffee. Slightly watery flavour is mostly of caramel malt along with a bit of fruit and a light bitter finish -- I personally thought it could be a little more flavourful. Average bodied. A little overly simple but it’s still good and easy to drink. Radek Kliber (7483) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUN 27, 2009

Appearance: hazed dark amber , almost brownish red with mid plus very creamy white top. 3+
Nose: Lighter nose , hints of caramel and toasted barley
Flavor/Palate : Medium full bodied. Darker malts with strong character of toasted barley. Clean and drinkable ale.
Cask. At Victory Cafe Cask Ale Festival, January 2009. Slightly hazy amber, looked graduated darker/lighter in the glass, with an average frothy head. Floral aroma, backed with solid cereal grain sweetness. Really liked the taste - floral/herbal bitterness, definite cereal malt, and an undertone of cocoa bitterness - nice. Average body, slightly astringent, oily mouthfeel leading to a moderately bitter finish - not great, but very drinkable - many people’s favorite on the day.
On Tap at C’est What? Amber pour with a fluffy head. NIce aroma of brown sugar, and some bready malt with a touch of grassiness. Flavor is quite one dimensional with the sweet malt, and more of the brown sugar, a nice beer, quite drinkable, i could easily down a few.
