Spab (4124) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 4, 2011
On cask at Volo. Pours a cloudy reddish copper with moderate-sized creamy off-white head. Aroma is lots of caramel malt with a more understated fruitiness. Flavour is also lots of caramel with sweet fruit and a modest hoppiness. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Nice. DougShoemaker (3146) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 3, 2009
Cask @ Victory Cafe Winter Fest. Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - JUL 17, 2009
Aroma has lots of malt(candied?) cloudy copper, tiny toffee head. Flavour has less malt than the nose, toasty notes, light bodied, balanced, fairly easy to drink. Good.
Cask at Ceili COttage. Looks great - fiery red, creamy head. Malty aroma, nutty, fruity. Taste is a malt bomb! So much malt! Caramel sweet, fruity, and quite hoppy as well. Dare I say it was almost too malty for me. Otherwise, solid cask ale, served in tip top condition. garthicus (2953) - Dublin, IRELAND - JUN 25, 2009
On cask at Ceili House. Appearance: dark red small off white head. Aroma: malt, chocolate, turf. Flavour: nice bitter malt with hops, chocolate and turf. Lovely. TheJester (2543) - Cavan Monaghan, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 13, 2013
Cask at Volo. I wish I didn’t have to go to Toronto to get their beers. Chocolate, roast and some Brit hops in the nose. The chocolate and roast don’t show up as much in the flavour, but the hops are nice. traditional British amber. Really nice, drinkable beer. Did I mention that it would be great if I could find their beers locally?
Tranquillity (2532) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 6, 2016
Cask at bar hop 2. The body is brown, with a small white head. The aroma is very sweet with chocolate and cherry. The taste is good, it’s with a lot of cacao and has a sweet finish. DerWeg (1727) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 1, 2009
Cask at Ceil;i Cottage. Fantastic dry session with a good crisp malt flavor, featuring roast java fruit and light caramel, and light hop bitterness in the aroma and taste. Aroma also has light fruit and hops. neuromatt (1226) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 22, 2013
On Cask at the Queen and Beaver in Toronto, served in an English pint. Pours clear copper with a tall, fluffy creamy head that remains. On the nose are English caramel hops, with notes of bread and grains. These are paired with delicate English hops. The flavour is initially balanced between moderate sweetness and moderate bitterness, but a resinous hoppy bitterness grows towards the end and peaks in the finish, which is moderate in length. On the palate, it is medium in body with a smooth, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a nice English style ale. It is subtle and elegant, though it could be a tad hoppier. 2012-08-01 cyrenaica (1159) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 18, 2012
550ml draught jimmay (815) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - APR 6, 2010
I tried this beer on tap on March 9, 2012 at "C’est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It pours a translucent dark red with a whitish ring for a head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, light fruits, and weak hops. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is mily sweet with caramel and light fruit and a weak bitter finish ends it.
Cask at Cest what. Reddy brown colour, smallish off white head. Nice sweet malty aroma and taste, little sugary fruit. A little bit thin in body. Very drinkable!
