Cask at GBBF 2009. Gold, lasting thin off white head. Interesting strong English blond. Pretty tasty. Some lemon, rose petal flavour. Pretty good to be honest. Bit of earthyness on the hops.

From the Real Ale in a Bottle Bar at GBBF 09. Medium sized, white head over a plain golden body. Sweet malty aroma added by dark spices. The flavour can be described as an interplay of succulent fruits and caramel malts. Some mild honey hints behind it all. On the sweet side of bittersweet to the ending. Medium bodied and with a fine drinkability (Earls Court, hotel room, 07.08.2009).

Cask, Conditioned at The Royal Oak, Wantage. Gold with white head. Quite a sweetish, despite the above description, hopped beer with a citrus orange character. Light malts and very decent and drinkable for a higher ABV beer. Good stuff.

DruncanVeasey (8225) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2009
Bottle from St. Aidans Winery, Holy Island. Bright orange amber with a pillowy white head. Nose Fullers-like orange peel yeastiness, hops, honey and caramelised malt sweetness washing over an almondy background strong in alcohol. silky slick on the palate with some mellow alcohol burn; orange and honey drying into hop and husky malt bitterness. Fruity, boozy and good.

MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - APR 5, 2009
Bottle (500ml). Poured cloudy copper with orange highlights and a good sized frothy white head which was mostly lasting. A sweet tropical hop aroma with strong notes of apricots, pineapple, passionfruit, rich caramel malts and some light piney/floral notes. Flavor was of smooth caramel malts with a mild earthy hop bitterness, guava, pineapple and dry peaches towards the finish. Well hidden alcohol content. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry mouthfeel and a good length finish.

5ooml b/c. Murky orange and quite talkative from lenghty bottle conditioning (held on to this one for a while). A whiff of light perfume, some warm alcohol and almost essence. Rich fullness, a touch of orangey resin with hot hops and light malt flavours lurking in the distance. Nice enough but doesnt linger long enough of leave you with that syrupy resinous coating that you think you are in for.
