Light light unclear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, citrus - orange, lime. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
[500ml bottle, The Bottle, York] Lovely strong IPA aroma, along the lines of an American-style IPA – hoppy and flowery with citrus and pine. The bottle conditioning adds a little hazy muddiness; you can certainly taste the double-addition and five hop mix. A good deal of orange citrus tastes with alcohol backing, plenty of competing flavours, a good dollop of sweetness as well. Not for everybody given the multitude of flavours, but I certainly liked it. [24/04/2010] planky84 (3215) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 16, 2010
Bottle from Drink of Fulham. Cloudy orange pour with a white head that doesn’t stick around for long. Floral nose with hints of caramel, citrus and light hops. Flavours of orange marmalade, pineapple, caramel, banana, cloves. Quite fruity. Sharp hop burst in the finish. dnas2 (705) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - APR 23, 2010
(Gravity as Durham Magnificat) Amber with no head. Citrus hop scent. Well balanced. Quite dry. Oranges in the mouth and some sugars on the end but not as sweet as the ABV suggests. Slight kick at the end but easy drinking.
