Light light unclear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, citrus - orange, lime. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
[500ml bottle, The Bottle, York] Lovely strong IPA aroma, along the lines of an American-style IPA – hoppy and flowery with citrus and pine. The bottle conditioning adds a little hazy muddiness; you can certainly taste the double-addition and five hop mix. A good deal of orange citrus tastes with alcohol backing, plenty of competing flavours, a good dollop of sweetness as well. Not for everybody given the multitude of flavours, but I certainly liked it. [24/04/2010]
