Bottle. Cloudy dark golden appearence. Lively herbal-hoppy aroma and flavor, tea and fruit, solid long lasting bitterness with a mineral edge. Durham brewery is getting more and more respect from me. thewolf (12855) - Kolding, DENMARK - APR 8, 2007
Bottle. Pours a pale orange with a big foamy white head. Aroma is ligtly sweet, but with quite a lot of woody hops. Creamy mouthfeel and low carbonated. Taste is round, sweet, malty, but finishes quite bitter with a nice flowery, oaky and beechy edge. bhensonb (15852) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 18, 2012
Bottle at Delirium Café. Pours dark copper with a creamy 3 finger white head. Aroma is very floral/perfumey. Med body. Flavor is very floral with some light fruit. But it comes out bitter in the finish!!! To f------ die for. Brillliant ale! jamesie1857 (1984) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2013
500ml Bottle - NIce golden copper body with a medium fluffy white head with a little retention and lacing. Lots of fruit in the aroma: passion fruit, grapefruit, citrus in general. Creamy palate with some noticeable carbonation. The flavour is a repeat of the aroma but with a nice bitter finish and quite prominent alcohol. Quite good. 50cl bottle @Delrium Cafe, Hoppy Loft, Brussels. Fruity, peachy, herbal and fresh aromas. Pours golden, little hazy, with nice white head, creamy, frothy, good lacing. Light body, a bit oily in texture, average carbonation. Taste is fruity, smooth, mild bitter. Balanced. Some liquorice aftertaste and some more bitterness. Nice and enjoyable.

Bottle from the shop on Holy Island, served cool. Orange with a fluffy white head. Burnt Sugar aroma. Orange marmalade and marzipan in the flavour, with some zesty floral hops. Definitely an English version of an IPA. Nice alcohol kick. I’ve yet to be disappointed by this brewery. rafael52 (1684) - Łódź, POLAND - MAR 1, 2015
Zapach: średnio intensywny, na pierwszym planie aromaty chmielowe, trochę owoców z akcentami kwiatowymi i ziołowymi, w tle nuty słodowe i drożdżowe.
Smak: dość wytrawne, głównie nuty słodowe z kontrą goryczkową na średnim poziomie w kierunku niskiego, wyczuwalne są również posmaki drożdży.
Wysycenie: średnie, piwo wychodziło po otwarciu.
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2010 Bottled - leftover from DC gathering. Clouded orange colour. Lots of hop - pine, resin and citrus (orange). Very American pale/IPA in style. Some yeast and pale malt is evident in the flavour. Noticeably bitter. Enjoyable. (8/3/7/4/15 = 3.7) MiP (15981) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 4, 2014
RE-RATE. Cask (gravity dispense) at the Great British Beer Festival Day 2, August 2009 as Magnificat. Didn’t realize this was the same beer as St Cuthbert, which I had already rated. Amber colour. No head but quite lively condition. Fairly restrained aroma. Some sweetish fruity notes on the palate but finishes fairly dry. Long, fruity aftertaste. Very easy drinking for the strength. Not as much presence as expected. Not much like an APA either. (7/3/7/3/13 = 3.3)
Original score retained.
Bottle, 6.5%. Mild, refreshing hop aroma, soft fruit, mango and the like. Hazy golden colour. Good stable white head, slightly creamy. The flavour is nicely malty and hop spicy. A little on the sweet side for an English IPA, but good. Refreshing, citrus-like bitterness, quite good. RichTheVillan (8302) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2015
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear golden amber pour with a frothy off white head, citrus and yeast aroma, taste has light citrus, smooth malts, some sweet honey, light bitterness, nice.
