Our interpretation of an India Pale Ale. Not too bitter with extra aroma hops for interest.

Bottle, 6.5%. Mild, refreshing hop aroma, soft fruit, mango and the like. Hazy golden colour. Good stable white head, slightly creamy. The flavour is nicely malty and hop spicy. A little on the sweet side for an English IPA, but good. Refreshing, citrus-like bitterness, quite good.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Clear gold, no head. This struck me as more of a Golden than a IPA. Hops are more backgroundish, rather than being the main feature. Smooth, easy drinking yes, but in this case easy drining means that the tongue is not stunned by overt hop content. Certainly pleasant, but not a show stopper.

Bamsen78 (5273) - Snderborg, DENMARK - JAN 4, 2014
Bottle. Pours slitly hazy golden with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of citrus and fruit. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with citric notes, touches of lemon peel and hints of grass. Bitter finish. A decent, unpretentious IPA.

Bottle from the brewery. Amber colour with some cream suds. An enjoyable IPA. Quite spicey with a nice bitterness and citrus notes. A solid beer rather than a spectacular one.
