Bottle conditioned, aged 8 years, from Westholme Stores, Goring, Oxon. Jet Black with tan head. Big heavy, black roasted malt flavours from the start, liquorice and bitumen notes, quite well amalgamated over the years, although still a considerable bitterness. Elderberry notes, pretty earthy and dry, lots of tongue coating and mouthfeel, thick and heavy. A big old bruiser of a beer. markoijelena (3143) - Belgrade / Amsterdam, SERBIA - OCT 25, 2015

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2015 Black colour. Smell of raisins, red wine. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, oak, cognac, faint of tar. Bitter and sweet. Flat carbon. Velvety palate. Very surprising in a positive way. zvsn (2159) - ISRAEL - SEP 2, 2015
Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks tomer. Pours brown black with a big beige head. Smell of chocolate, cocoa beans, coffee, prunes. Sweet, chocolate, nuts, soy, caramel, a bit acidic flavors, alcoholic warmth down the throat. Medium-bodied, a bit too fizzy, sticky texture. Good sipper.

At a tasting, thanks Roei, small creamy head, opaque vert dark brown color, lots of aromatic coffee, with wood, shrubs, cinamon and dark bread in the back, roasted coffee flavor, some roasted malt and dark fruits, mellow sourness. Very nice to sip slowly, should continue to improve. DSG (14922) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - AUG 28, 2015
Bottle sample at a tasting at tomer’s place. Thanks tomer. Black with a bit of tan foam. Aroma is burnt and boozy, with wine, dark fruits, chocolate, some soy sauce, charcoal, licorice. Sourish-bitterish roasty flavor, vinous, with dark fruits, soy sauce, some chocolate, coffee, and alcohol. Quite full-bodied. A bit too boozy, but mellows with some time in the glass. Bottle from Beer Hawk. Deep and almost black, moderately high carbonation, something of a head. Very powerful beer, lots of roasty notes, deep dark fruit cake and a slightly licorice spicy flavour. Love the Goldings, Imperial Stout with lots of spicy British hops seems to fit together better than an aggressive citrus overload. Very pleasant, and in a big bottle too! redders1974 (1521) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2015
