Clear golden, white head, sour fruit in smell and taste. Some bitter hop, flowery edge. Bit watery.

Hippoman (646) - Durham, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2015
UPDATED: DEC 11, 2015 Cask at The Half Moon, Durham, £3/pint. Pours very pale amber with thin, smooth white head and zero carbonation. Aroma is weak, grainy and biscuity. Taste opens bitter and stays that way for a long, dry finish on a thin body. Perhaps a little overhopped. Not terrible but lacks the sweetness and subtlety of preferable summer beers. Re-rate: 11th Dec 2015 Cask at The Market Tavern, Durham, as "White Christmas", £3.55/pint. Good looking very pale golden beer with a smooth, white head. The nose is muted with some cereal grain and light citrus detectable. The flavour has lemongrass hop notes over a biscuity malt base, and is for the most part well balanced bittersweet. Unremarkable but a crisp, fresh, sessionable golden ale.
