COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
White Stout is the ultimate beer in our "White Range". While the word "stout" has come to mean a dark beer, the original meaning was strong and true. Before the porter brewers commandeered the word to mean a stout, or strong, porter it referred to any strong beer. We have rehabilitated and improved the genre. White Stout is a very pale, full bodied, strong beer. American columbus hops are used throughout to give massive floral and resinous character. At a strength of 7.2% this is a true stout. Indeed, few modern stouts of any colour are true to the word for strong.

It is easy to brew a strong beer by adding sugar to the copper. I do not understand the White Stout description of this beer. The taste is grapefruit with prickly carbonation on the roof of the mouth. I much prefer Durham Magus which at 3.8% abv is a superior beer.

500ml bottle. Golden amber with a thin, frothy white head. Aroma of apples, distinct strong hoppiness, and grain. Blast of alcohol on the palate, along with bitter grains. Extremely fine carbonation; very smooth.

Bottle 500 ml from Amstein - St-Légier (CH). Golden amber beer with a nice ivory head and active crackling. Fruity and spicy aromas, herbs and touch of honey. The taste is soft, honey-toffy, floral also, creamy with hints of herbs, grass and roasted, then dry with earty and resinous hop, trend IPA but with more honeyish sweetness.

A good hoppy profile, malty, golden with a good white head, medium body, medium carbonation, taste of hops and citrus...a good white stout.

Samo Pivo, Belgrade. Bad problems with foam on this keg. Hazy white-yellow, tall foam. Sweet plum aroma, body is very creamy and rich and a bit shocking for the color. Sweet plum sake. Intriguing, not bad, but also not for me.
