From bottle at BKL 2018.
Copper, clear body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, light yellow head.
Aroma of bourbon, wood, dried fruits, caramel, cocoa, dark fruits, moderate citrus.
Tastes similar, pretty smooth, only subtle booze, with more citrus.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes medium dry, wooden, citric, a bit warm, with moderate bourbon.

Very tasty. Really smooth to drink, especially for the ABV, which is greatly hidden. The bourbon is very well integrated, leaving room for a lot of diversity, like quite a lot of citric notes. Even better than the regular Duvels in my opinion, while pretty different, more like a great Barley Wine.

I had a bottle at home after finishing my exams. Pours a beautiful dark amber colour with a medium sized white head. It tastes pleasantly sweet and had clear tones of oak wood and bourbon.

December 2017 - Tasting at One Canada Square. Bottle shared with big thanks to Kenny. As 'Duvel Barrel Aged 2017 - Bourbon', 'Batch #1 2017". Golden orange, still and clear, foamy off-white head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is airy, minty, some woody bourbon and vanilla. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is very vanilla-forward, creamy, malted milk, quite sweet with a woody alcoholic finish. Pretty tasty. (7-4-8-4-15=3.8)

75cl bottle. Batch 2. Thanks to Kenny for sharing his bottle!
Pours clear dark golden with a frothy, lasting, off-white head. The aroma contains bourbon, vanilla, calvados, apples & pears, hops & herbs, citrus, some oak & caramel. It tastes light fruity sweet with already some apparent bourbon, then light to medium hoppy bitter with spicy notes; dry, hoppy, woody finish and warming bourbon alcohol. Full body, slick texture, soft carbonation. I'd take this over a regular Duvel anytime!

T42 Christmas Bottleshare. Clear burnished gold beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts spring a nice light creamy sweetness. Good tangy fruits. The bourbon is persistent but light and integrates really well. Bourbon soaked fruits. Smooth semi dry finish brings a modest bourbon spice. Hugely drinkable.
