25cl bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is yellow golden colored and pours a stable white head, with livingly CO2. The aroma is full and comparable to the normal Duvel, with tones of grass and hops, but also a fruitiness from the citrus. Taste is light sweet with tones of honey and appricots. A light pepper in the end is noticable. The finish is reasonable and long with a light spicy bitterness.

KyotoLefty (9640) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 5, 2015
25 cl bottle by mail order in Japan. Drink by 2015.11.30. Grainy nose, cereals, bread, crackers, light lemony hops. Touch of honey. Clear golden color, medium fine head. A bit sweet, malty, grainy, light honey and biscuits. Herbal, lemony hops, though as this is a bit old, they are diminished. Still, nicely peppery, prickly finish with decent bitterness. Prickly, persistent carbonation. Not the real thing, and would probably be better a bit fresher, but this is still a good beer.

Bottle. Clear golden liquid with medium white head. Aroma of grain, bread, pears, fruity yeast esters and sugar. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of bread and sugar. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Decent but the original Duvel is a lot better.

Ik vindt dit een zeer fijn biertje om te drinken. Het heeft weinig koolzuur en een fijne zachte smaak wat dit een aangename dorstlesser maakt.
