The first two batches of Duvel Tripel Hop were brewed with Saaz-Saaz, Styrian Golding and Amarillo. From now on Duvel Tripel Hop will have a different hop every year that will be added in the brewing process as well as being used for dry hopping. For 2012 this hop is Citra.

Editors note: clearly distinguishable, in a circle on the label it reads "Dry Hopped with Citra 2012 Selection"

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2016 From Belgium in a Box. In Teku glass. Playing Magic 2015. I prefer the normal one. This feel lighter and more refreshing, but resinous nature of citra hops isnt much noticeable. Very foamy, had to pour it in 2 steps. Very transparent

Bottle @ home from Tripel Hops Tasting Box from Cash Flandre Artois, Auchy-les-Mines. Color: clear golden blond beer with medium carbonation and high white foam. Smell: grassy and floral hoppy nose. Citrus and lime notes. Very nice. Taste: medium body with good malt backbone, well balanced with fruity and floral hops. Lime and citrus hint. Very nice, quiet drinkable. Aftertaste: alcohol, sweet bitterness, lime. Good.

Bottle 0.33l at home Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Thanks to Zlotta for finding this in Mitra. 24.09.2016. Taste as Number Two with Vlada Ciaoooo and Jelena. Pour it hazy yellow color with medium white head. Aroma sweetish, citra hops totally present, little bit eggy note I think from Citra. Taste smooth sweet quickly dissappear little bit odd at the end, missing carbonation after few sips, I thought is gonna be better than previous one but now hmm...., medium body, average carbonation, abrupt.

Duvel Moortgat by Duvel Tripel Hop #2 - 2012 Rami Rami is drinking a Duvel Tripel Hop #2 - 2012 by Duvel Moortgat at Powiśle Porownanie citry i amarillo. Sa inne. Citra istrzejsza, bardziej cytrusowa, amarillo daje "slodszy" aromat. Bez sikow kocich. Oba bdb.

Bottle as "Duvel Tripel Hop 2" (from Saveur Biere). Pours yellow with huge whiteish head. The head stays. Aroma is fruity, spicy, citrus, floral. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fruity, citrus, orange, grapefruit, spices. Finish is citric bitter with touch of alcohol. Cover alcohol better than some others from the series. Overall: great, at the moment my favorite from the tripel hop series (havent tried Sorachi Ace yet) and this is actually.better than original version.

typical Duvel appearance of hazy, very pale yellow colour and huge, though not too dense and stable head; aroma of bread, floral-honey notes, grapefruit, orange zest oils, maybe pineapple, hints of sauerkraut and piney notes; taste is basically the same; brilliant beer from Duvel again!

0.33l bottle. Clear pale golden body, thick white head. Aroma of sweet bread, honeydew melon, grapefruit, blackberry and floral hops. Taste of bread, grapefruit, orange zest, pine, honey and floral hops. Very nice beer. Given that Citra was used in lots of beer in the recent years, I thought it wont amaze me that much, but I was wrong. It really fits this beer.
