Hops: Saaz, Styrian Golding and Sorachi Ace. "Dry Hopped with Sorachi Ace. 2013 Selection"

Nose has banana, leading down to some soft fruits and then a classic straw, mint and hops notes of straight duval. Taste, is lots of yeast notes, giving lactose, strawberry, white peach with soft lemony hops. Finish is sweet, and then dry, with lots of cereal and soft fruits. Mouthfeel is too carbonated for me, as with all duvels, and is slick and oily. A much better beer than the 2012 Dry Hop being much more balanced. The move to more flavours from the yeast is welcome,

330 ml bottle, clear light golden brown pour with a big foamy head. This has all the characteristics of a Duvel, banana, clove, spice, belgian yeast, with added citrus from the hop and a bitter finish. Slightly resiny mouthfeel.

Pale yellowish color with a foamy but compact head, very white and lasting. Pretty nice lace. Fresh aromas to banana, grapefruit and raw grain. The mouthfeel, extremely bitter and dry, presents notes to banana, lemon and some orange peel. Highly carbonated and bodied, well structured AMD with a long and continuous development, and a clean and elegant finish. Very, very good beer.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2013 Een wiegje van citroenachtige varieteiten. Duvel heeft een heerlijke gist.Doet me denken aan citroengeranium.

Clear yellow like a duvel. A bit less head. Aroma has fruits, citrus. More citrus in the taste, refreshening, Somewaht more bitter but not that much. Nice but I prefer the Original.
