Bottle from Booths, Media City. Golden, and very strong, which negates some of the mosaic hops to an extent, but the Belgian styling and Duvel character is maintained here with a good smoothness to the beer.

(Bottle) Golden colour with big, frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with pineapple, honey, citrus, passion-fruit, a touch of marzipan, some yeast and fresh floral hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with pineapple, honey, tropical fruit, grapefruit, hints of pine needles, mango, white bread and a generous citric, floral bitterness. Medium body, fairly dry. Fresh and tasty with a generous Mosaic character, still firmly Belgian. Very nice.

In addition to bitterness in flavor and taste are present different exotic fruits - citrus and mango. The aftertaste is sweet and bitter and very pleasant.

From Belgium in a Box. In Teku glass. Playing Magic 2015. Very citrusy, with some herbal notes and even slightly acidic. Nice but I prefer the normal duvel over this one. At least this is one of the Duvel Tripel Hips were the additional hop is easily noticeable. Generates a bit too much foam, requiring 2 pours.

Bottle:   Hazy straw, dirty dishwater white head, spotty lacing.   A little musty hoppiness, a bit of citrus peel and floral hoppiness.   Similar on the tongue.   Bitterness is minor, carbonation is lively.   Hides the 9+ ABV very well.   Comes across as a slightly hoppy musty IPA.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes with a hoppy bang, but not so much in bitterness.   Has that Belgian mustiness to it that you cant get anywhere else.   A bit mixed as it has the flavor profile of an IPA but not so much on the hoppiness.   A bit more musty like, as to be expected.   However, it sure is clean.   Entertaining at least.   Two worlds that sometimes dont mix well, but this one was done fairly reasonably.
