Bottle. Pours a golden color with generous off-white head and very lively carbonation. Mostly citrusy aroma with some Saaz presence in there. Light on the palate and citrusy mellow bitter hoppy flavor. Dangerously drinkable and quite good.

Bottle in Brussels. You feel the fresh grassy smell at first and then mixture of tropical fruits welcomes you. Always good.

rauchbier (3949) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2018
Bottle, from Tesco. Yellow gold, vast fluffy and sustaining white head and good condition. Slightly soapy in the nose with background of barnyard earthiness and hopsack, some gentle fruity malt and a slighty spicy yeastiness. Quite soft and malty in the mouth with a solid hop bitterness and peppery spiciness, some funky earthiness and a little fruity sweetness. Finish is lingering bitter hop resin, spicy yeast and some retronasal alcohol.

Breadth with citrusy and bright hops. A bit harsh with the booziness, happiness, and Belgian qualities. Eh.

330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 10-2018 Straw body, slight haze, big dense white head. Great nose - grapefruit, passionfruit, cut grass & herbs, nectarine, typical Duvel Belgian phenolic peppery spice & ripe fruits. Full bodied, not as rich as the normal Duvel, plenty of carbonation, surprisingly easy for a big beer! Flavours don't translate as well on the palate - still, plenty of grassy, ripe tropical hops with phenolic spice & sweet malts. Booze is almost undetected. Rather nice - evilly drinkable!

Légère mousse blanche, couleur jaune pâle. Arôme fruité, agrumes. A la dégustation c'est moins flagrant, une belle qualité comme la duvel classique. 33 Cl chez Vanuxeem

Bottle @ home. Clear pale yellow with a large white head. Aroma llight malty (bread), medium hoppy (citrusy) and yeasty (fruity, phenolic). Flavor light sweet, medium bitter and spicy, light bitter finish. Light thin body, high carbonated, some alcohol felt.
