Well what can I say? Duvel is so highly rated, but just does not fit my taste. The beer is good, don’t get me wrong, but does not blow me away as a king of beers. The aroma was great with a moderate yeasty kind of a doughy smell to it. A hint of honey was also detected and lasted all the way through the drink. The look and appearance is what really amazed me about the beer as it had a frothy fully lasting white head to it, and looked as if it were dancing in the glass. The golden hue was sparkling all the way down to the bottom and was clear as can be. Once I tasted it, it struck me with a heavy acidic flavor both in the beginning and the end. The yeast comes through with a hint of citrus and a long finishing flavor that lingers on the plate. Almost like a slight metallic finishing flavor to it. It had a light dry body that fizzed in my mouth. Again it seemed to have a bit of a metallic aftermath to it. A beer that would be good in paring with food, but not one I would chug. It does have some nice refreshment value to it. A beer that is to be celebrated and enjoyed, however, not an everyday type of beer I would consider. Drink on.
Fine taste but feels very regular. Almost a pils beer, but the best from that.

33ml Bottle at jumpsky.
Have had this beer countless times before, but only now decided to rate it.
Has a yellow golden and clear appearance with a thick lasting and impressive head. Aroma is dried fruits, kiwi, banana.
Taste is sweet and bitter with a very worm and carbonated mouthfeel.
Long bitter sweet finish as well. Jabic (564) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - JUN 23, 2017
Ar: Banana, peach, and cotton candy; juicy orange zest and lemon; candied malt. Ap: Deep gold and clear; giant slightly off-white head with amazing retention, leaving peaks and valleys of fluff and foam dashes around the glass sides. T: Clean sweet malt up front, light sweetness; pineapple, orange; medium-high bitterness, some fine dried-flower taste; clean alcohol and a bit of chalk; finish has some banana and orange peel. P: Medium-light body, fairly lean; very high carbonation, slightly sharp but mostly mouth-filling. O: A spectacular Belgian golden strong ale; bright fruit notes, though with some restraint; phenols, bitterness, and alcohol are in great balance with the malt and fruit flavors; quite drinkable for such a big beer--the point, I guess! Jasne, słomkowe z obfitą i trwałą pianą. W aromacie owocowo, nieco szampańsko i kwaśno. W smaku wytrawnie i jednocześnie słodko. NiklasT (33) - SWEDEN - JUN 16, 2017
Light golden with white head. Clear. Yeasty esters with some fruit in the aroma. Taste is quite dry with bitterness at the end. geolgau (212) - Cluj-Napoca, ROMANIA - JUN 14, 2017
Aroma is nice and subtle, full of fruity esters, mainly banana and lemon. Some herbal notes, tripel-ish feel. Crispy and sweet, with herbs in the taste, this is very refreshing, and the alcohol does not burn the tongue. Really nice. WarMan04 (306) - Bydgoszcz, POLAND - JUN 12, 2017
Pours hazy, golden colour with a white head. Aroma of fruits, biscuits, citrus, phenols. Taste is rather dry with a bit of sweet malty background. Grassy bitterness, low to medium bodied, highly carbonated. Great
