Bottle poured into a chalice. Pours a slightly hazy, straw-gold with a small white head on top. Good retention, and theres plenty of lace left behind. The nose is sharp with Belgian yeast, sour citrus, dry grass, coriander. This one starts out really spritzy and a bit harsh. A massive amount of carbonation on the palate. Thankfully, though, this smooths out as I sip. Gets much more mellow and cleans itself up. A bit dry on the finish. Wonderful balance on this one. Completely understand now why this one is rated so highly. Spice, tart yeast, lemon zest, dry crackers. Just a touch of alcohol rounds this one out. Man this is incredibly balanced! Nothing really overpowers here, but every flavor plays their part and adds to the whole. A spectacular beer. This is a style I dont drink very often as I havent had many that I really crave, but this one jumped to the top of this list. One I will revisit again and again.

Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into tulip glass. Appearance: Not so clear (blurry) golden colour, with perfect bubbles; rich white head with nice lacing Aroma: Citrus, barley, hops, fresh, maybe fresh cucumber, maybe even pear/banana, hint of alcohol. Palate: Light body, medium but gentle carbonation. Taste: Fresh cucumber, yeast, malt, alcoholic bitterish aftertaste. Overall impression: Very enjoyable, tasty and drinkable; there is alcoholic note but not too mush. Cute old school label and little bottle.

This beer is a classic for good reason. It is extremely well made and perfectly balanced. For those complaining that there is too much alcohol, enjoy your Bud Light.

Tries this beer after volley-ball with friends. The taste is well balanced with alcohol, dangerous to drink too much of this good beer.

Good tasting Belgian classic with malty, almost herbal taste. Lively carbonation at first. Decent drink, though I wouldn't be able to manage too many because of the strength ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours with a golden colour and a huge white head; Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. Bittery finish and taste of alcohol that is not disturbing. Very good overall!
