Sabrosa y refrescante.

Bottle, best before 12.2016. Pours hazy yellow with large, white, quite stable head, good lacing. Beautiful fruity aroma with floral notes, pear, spices, cloves. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with sweet finish - mostly fruity, pear, banana and some spices. Medium to full body, average to lively carbonation. Very good example of the style. Mild for its ABV.

Przyjemny belg. Aromat i smak ok. Największą zaletą tego piwa jest jego wygląd.

Bottle. At a bar in Amsterdam. Clear golden medium white head. Some sour aroma, some wheat, fruity. Taste is fresh. Wheat, apple, a bit dry and a medium bitter ending.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Pours lager yellow with high carbonation and a thick white head. Aroma is straw, orange, coriander, cloves, lemon peel and ripe banana, all classic Belgian yeasty aromas. Taste has sweetness at the start and then a long, bitter finish that is the highlight of the beer. Surprisingly light for its ABV and you can taste some of the alcohol, but, dangerously, not 8.5% worth. Very pleasant, albeit lighter than I was expecting.

Bottle at the Cerise Bar, Reading. Gold with a large white head and an obvious fizz. Spicy and bready with hints of hay and orange. Light and fresh and dangerously easy to drink- certainly doesnt taste its strength. Its pleasant but it fails to wow- the whole thing is just a little on the light side- an odd thing to say for something of this strength. And therein lies the problem- if it was 4-5% and tasted like this it might make a decent session beer. But at 8% you want something you can sip and savour- and it hasnt really got the depth or breadth of flavours for that. So overall yes its pleasant and easy-to-drink, but I dont see the point in an 8% quaffing ale!
