Absolutely gorgeous in the glass. Big, long-lasting white head with beautiful lacing atop a golden body. Aroma is a round, fruity sweetness with notes of apple, banana, peach, grapes, floral hops, light malt, and hints of spice. Flavor is wonderfully sweet but balanced without much bitter kick and has all the same notes as the nose but with more prominent malt flavor. Very smooth, very drinkable. Easy to drink more than one despite its relatively high alcohol content.

Excellent beer, can be drunk anywhere and anytime. It´s quite refreshing, and does not have a overwhelming sweet alcohol taste, like Rochefort nr. 10. Perfect beer...

The perfect beer. I lived in Belgium and have tried all 450+ that I know of, and this is the best. Light body, full flavor, nice fruity aroma and crisp tart finish, with an estery yeasty note of the alcohol.

The most accomplished mass produced beer on the planet. Great clarity colour aroma flavour. Consistently excellent despite expansion of the brewery.

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2006 What can I say about this beer, except that it is fine. The only bad thing about it, I have to go to New Orleans, I can’t get it in Mississippi because of good ole boy redneck politics...

what beer is there better than Duvel? This beer is the Most imported to usa with the highest alcohol of all Belgian beers and it is i consider 3 beers in 1. LIVING beer unpasurnized makes a big differences!

Duvel was, in a way, my first foray into drinking Craft brews, and I’d have to say that i dont think i could have started with a better brew. Duvel is a very well-balanced brew, with a pretty much none existant maltyness. Its has a semi-sweet flavour,in the palate, very nicely complimented by its light hoppyness. For being my very first sampling of a "craft" brew i was immediately impressed, and satisfied, and have since gone on to trying more and more beers, but i can always enjoy a nice glass of duvel.

One of the most perfect alcohol beverages on Earth! Lovely effervescence unmatched by any other beer. Sweet malt and citrus with perfectly balanced hops. Second to none.

My favorite beer, which is why I’m giving a perfect rating here. I love Duvel. Good solid carb, nice hop profile with spicey, citrusy yeast notes. A well balanced beer that drinks like champagne.

This probably one of the best beers in existence. It sets the bar high for others with its rich distinct taste.
