Straw in the glass, intensely carbonated with a crazy head. Lactic yeast aroma. Something like a light tripel on the tongue--light and crisp, with none of the alcohol slickness you’d expect in a beer this big. Seltzerlike carbonation gives a very dry finish. The best of its kind.

No me gustó tanto. El sabor más predominante es el alcohol. Lo que más me gustó fue la apariencia. Es una cerveza fuerte que si se disfruta pero no tanto ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aromas of white grapes and pale malt with some phenolic esters. Tastes is crisp pale malt, white grapes, then phenolic esters and light spices.

330ml bottle from Sainsbury’s. Light gold colour with white head. Biscuity notes, citrus, banana, spices, bready notes, herbs. Maybe slightly overcarbonated.

Een van de weinige commercile bieren in het zwaardere genre die het drinken waard is. Iets teveel koolzuur naar mijn smaak, maar een goed gebalanceerd zwaar blond bier.

Schnabelhund (96) - TAIWAN - AUG 12, 2017
Duvel pours hazy yellow with a beautiful and long-lived fluffy white head that leaves stunning lacing behind. The nose is rather subtle, but pleasantly complex with notes of citrus, pineapple, flowers, bubblegum, and spice. The palate is invigorated by an attack of subtle biscuit before the mid-palate hits with its notes of grapefruit, lemon, candy, pears, Belgian yeast, and a generous amount of white pepper. The pleasantly long finish is characterized by peppery spice, slowly increasing bitterness, and warming alcohol. The lack of a solid malt profile throws this brew slightly off balance, but what a good one nonetheless.

Very carbonated and heavy soar. Except this two parameters, good beer, but don’t like it.

Klasyka. Belgijskie to najlepsze określenie. Zaskakująco lekkie i pijalne jak na moc. Bardzo ciekawa piana, sredniopecherzykowa ale bardzo długo się utrzymująca. Wyraźnie zarysowana goryczka, choć bardzo krótka.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2017 The best beer I ever had. A great after taste and just an over all pleasant after taste . With a 8.5 ABV it just makes me happy. Does not taste as strong as it is and that’s just another reason I enjoy this beer. Wish I was able to find it near me more easily.

Pure white frothy head stayed on a light wheat coloured, very active body. Light & airy on the palate with a sharp prickle on the back. Yeast, citrus, spices & grapefruit. Very nice
