Bottle. Clear brown/amber with tiny off-white head. Flavour is malt, caramel, nutty, little fruit, hops, little sweet, bread and a little bitter. annunz123 (957) - Taunton, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Spice, flower, and a little funk in the aroma. Flavor is dull and metallic, with a thin mouthfeel. I’ve liked other beers by Jenlain, but this is a pass. llkc (2341) - århus, DENMARK - DEC 25, 2014

Hmm, quite different but I don’t think it works! Pours dark copper w/ a tan head that leaves little lacing. The aroma is rather soft w/ some subtle hints of caramel. The flavor resembles ice tea. There is no hop presence whatsoever & it doesn’t really feel like a beer at all. I’m no expert on the style but this isn’t my cup of tea. Lol NYHarvey (2153) - New York, New York, USA - DEC 26, 2005
Aroma is slightly musty, sour. orange, brown in color with a thick bubbly tan head. Flavor is honey, orange and malt. Very still and lacks any sort of bite. Almost tastes like a low alcohol mead though slightly less still than a mead would be. I think more spice and hops are in order here just to give it an edge to this fat round flavor.

Pretty stuff, glowing ruby-red. Good nose, lots of orange notes with a fair amount of chocolate, subtle sweetness and some fruitiness. Flavor is a bit dead, mild fruit but mostly flat, dead graininess. Bit more orange, but quite syrupy. Weirdly toasty. Smells nice, doesn’t taste particularly nice. hopscotch (11101) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 25, 2007
Bottle... Clear amber ale with orange highlights and a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Excellent, creamy retention. The aroma is of bicuity malts, vanilla and mild orange. Honey-sweet, vanilla flavor; not all that fruity. Medium-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Sweet finish. Overall, too sweet for me. Dark amber and moderate head. The aroma and flavour have notes of candy sugar, fruit, apple peel, and the flavour also has sweetness and citrus. Rather boring, when you think of the 2002 vintage. It had distinct notes of orange and Christmas Spice, that gave that little extra, that made it worth remembering IMO jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - DEC 23, 2007

Sweet ginger aroma. Amber color, off-white head, good lace. Sugary, ginger, herbal bitter, dry mouthfeel. Spices are out of balance with the sugary sweetness. Not a good beer from Jelain.
Pours a dark reddish color with a quickly disappearing white head. Smell is of orange peel and some spice. Taste is sort of like watered down orange pop, which isn’t a good thing. This could have been so much better, but it wasn’t. Mouthfeel was thin, with medium carbonation. I didn’t really care for this one, I would maybe try it again in a very distant future.
