UPDATED: JUN 17, 2010 (Canned) Pale golden colour. Decent head. Sweet aroma with notes of pears. Sweet flavour with notes of honey and pineapple. The alcohol gives it a somewhat dry, nutty finish. Falconseye8 (542) - Evans, Colorado, USA - NOV 7, 2003
Out of bottle Big white head. Spicy and smooth. Not bad. A little watery for my tastes but its still a pretty good drink. Ungstrup (37558) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 28, 2003
The aroma is very sweet with strong spices and flowery notes - I think it is the yeast. The color is orange and it has a fine lasting head. The flavor is very like the aroma: very sweet, spicy and flowery with notes of honey and alcohol prickling across the tongue. It ends on a very dry woody and fruity note. A nice beer. jonas (7568) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - OCT 22, 2003
CanSweet flowery and spicy flavor (ginger, roses).
Dark amber, nice champagne bubbles, lowish cream head.
Very sweet and flowery -
Maybe good together with a strong blue vein cheese?
Quite light body though, which destroys the beer in my oppinion.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2003 Canned. Yellow-ish colour. Earthy, cellar-like aroma. Spicy, sweetish flavour with notes of anise(or wormwood). Short finish. LarsHolmer (113) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 2, 2003
Bière du Garde is not supposed to be in small bottles or cans, but I can handle that...But the colour...Has anyone heard of a pale stout?? TheRimmer (483) - Florida, USA - SEP 25, 2003
a perfumey aroma mixed with muddled belgian ale type aromas of malt and dough. ever had a coors with 6%? alcohol is quite apparent at times, somehow. very fizzy mouthfeel. quite spicey and robust at times. larsniclas (7068) - Billdal, SWEDEN - AUG 23, 2003

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2003 I had planned to make number 100 a czech beer, but this was a surprisingly good substitute. A nice golden color with a creamy head. A little fruity and sweet. Both hops and malt in the taste. Nice body and a very clean finish. A very nice surprise...
