Ogi’s. Jenlain makes some very good beers, but the thought of strong golden ales in fancy bottles makes me cringe in general. This one did pour a clear golden body, which surprised me, along with a small white head. Bubblegum, messy hopiness, vegetables and herbs, cloves... not entirely unappealing... Pretty much only malty notes in the taste though, orange, light... olive? Dust, vegetabley notes. Hmm... a generic roughly Belgian style strong golden ale, with nothing to set it above its peers.

Bottle shared at THT thanks to my dad for the bottle. Clear golden with white head. Sweet grains, quite some spices, spicy yeast, coriander, bitter grassy herbs, light medicinal, cotton, light caramel. Over medium sweet and bitter.
Medium bodied with a bit oily feel. Better than I expected. Maits (560) - ESTONIA - OCT 21, 2016
Clear golden beer with small white head. Aroma is malty, hops and fruits. Taste is balanced between bitter and sour. Light body. Fruity finish. Long finish. Descent beer. Evilman (269) - Taverny, FRANCE - OCT 9, 2016
Apparently the most appreciated Jenlain beer here. It’s a pleasant one, like the others, nothing spectacular but a good mix between sweet taste and interesting alcohol level. As the others, I think the alcohol taste is a bit too much pronounced to enjoy it from start to finish, but in usual quantity it’s a rather good choice for any occasion. Not much better than the Amber variant, I think both worth the same. APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!

Clear golden, sparkling, one finger white frothy head, sticky patchy lacing. Sweet aroma is fruity, herby, honey, belgian yeast, flowery notes, walk in a field.. Light body, sweet, soft carbonation, long fruity flowery finish. Easy to drink, nuanced, balanced, natural. Skinnyviking (9670) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 11, 2015
25 cl. bottle at home. High fluffy and long lasting white head. Clear yellow golden body. Powerful fruity and quite sweet aroma, I have diffulty in distinghishing which but I certainly like the fruits. The beer was a bit too warm when I drank it otherwise I am sure that I would not have noticed the alcohol in the flavor which was also quite sweet and fruity little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long finish. 75cl bottle shared at our holiday home in France. Clear golden with a full white soapy head. Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation. Medium sweetness with a nice bitter finish. Peach, citrus, yeast, grain and some herbs. An ok blonde brew. mauroruellas (888) - GETULINA, BRAZIL - JUL 29, 2015
Tognetta (951) - São Paulo, BRAZIL - MAY 19, 2015
Amarela escura, levemente turva. Espuma amarelada, em media quantidade, se desfaz rapidamente. Aroma adocicado, alcoólica, tonel de madeira. Paladar adocicado médio, leve amargor no aftertaste, licorosa. Corpo médio, baixa carbonação. Segue bem o estilo belga, mas o dulçor é um pouco enjoativo, seria melhor se fosse menos intenso.
