Bottled. Deep red colour with a mediumsized slightly off white creamy head. Aroma is caramel, toffee and some slight floral notes along with mild ripe fruitiness as well. Flavour is mildly toasted malts, some caramel, ripe fruits and also a rather big bitterness in the finish, which isnt that normal for a beer of this style.

Can, cheers to a French supermarket sweep by that man Leighton, at the 500 miles tasting in the Sham, 23/03/13. Hazed chestnut brown with a thin off white head that clears edgeward. Nose is yeast, brown sugar, toffee, light spice. Taste comprises caramel, toffee, yeast, dark fruit, dates, sugars. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Pretty mediocre but drinkable none the less.

Can from Carrefour and drunk at home. Clear dark brown thin beige head. Dark clear gold cola like colour. No real head. Its a bit cola like all round to be honest. Not much hop, the malt is dark and dryish but its like drinking a strong alcoholic cola. Weird. With a touch of Bovril.

Bottled 250ml Saveur. Deep amber color, small beige head. Caramel, some alcohol, grassy notes, a bit malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Quite caramelly, some alcohol, grassy hoppy notes, raisiny fruityness. One of the better Jenlains.
