This beer pours a hazy, golden-orange body and nearly an inch of fluffy, off-white head that settles to a creamy blanket. Aromas of honey, biscuity malt, a touch of caramel, and grass lead into a soft, smooth palate of caramely, bready malt, lightly sweet honey, mild grassiness, a touch of sweet spices, brown sugar, and a hint of fig. It’s a bit on the sweet side, but not cloying, though a bit more hop bitterness would really go a long way here as the bitterness is very mild. The beer is medium-full in weight and medium in carbonation that’s super soft. Overall, it’s not complex, it’s not a beer to cogitate over, but it’s pleasant and enjoyable, a nice, easy quaffer when chilled.
(Rating #5217) OKplus (787) - Oklahoma, USA - APR 30, 2013
A - Pours a clear golden straw color. Bone-white head that forms a thin ceiling of tiny bubbles.
S - Spicy Belgian yeast, green apples, pears, clove, lemon citrus, sweet wheat.
T - Clean wheat off the top, not as much yeast as the nose described. Bits of green fruit apples, grapes, and pears meld well with the spice. Has a lemon pepper kick towards. Finishes crisp and dry.
M - Effervescent carbonation, light bodied.
The nose is very nice on this one with the yeast and fruit being on the forefront. Wheat as more pronounced in the flavor. Highly drinkable. Very refreshing.

Light pour, fluffy white head. Straight forward caramel malt, light hops, some crackery notes, a bit of spice. Meh.

St. Druon de Sebourg has a thin, loose, white head and an opaque, bright-orange appearance, with scant lacing and brown yeast pieces afloat. This clouds up even more upon swishing the bottle and pouring in the residual yeast and gunk. The aroma is strong- alcohol, fermented grain, sugar, citrus rind, and dates. Taste is of a similar cast, with an overall old character. Hop bitterness is minimal. Mouthfeel is medium and chewy, and St. Druon de Sebourg finishes mostly dry, mellow, and relatively easy drinking. It is unusual, as bier de garde tends to be, but I rate it excellent, nonetheless. Green bottle that wasn’t skunked! Sweet like other biere de gardes but much more subtlety so. Wheat flavor combines with the unusual yeast to give it an almost sour funk but not really. For me this works. Serving: Bottle mansquito (6815) - Nueva York, New York, USA - SEP 6, 2012
New Beer Distributors, NY 330ml ($3.75): Pours an orange color with a white head. Aroma is mildly yeasty, with a bit of subtle hops, and some fruitiness. Taste is quite sweet and honey-like. It is kind of one dimensional, but it is quite all right. Not really enough taste is in this here jawn. Hops are present and kind of spicy throughout. ’Tis ok. edgallow (4377) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 4, 2012

The aroma is sweet, fruity. The appearance is cloudy orange, white head. The flavor is sweet, fruit, caramel. The finish is sweet, then peppery, and pine needles. Pretty good.
