Leighton (21232) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2012
Bottle at Chriso’s 2012 Pre-GBBF Shindig, London. Vintage 2010. A bit gusher. Pours hazy purple with a fine, white head. Loads of ripe cherries in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with moderate tang, some bitter cherry pits, grape skins. Light to medium bodied with high carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with ripe cherries, light funk, bitter fruit skins. Light tartness. Quite nicely balanced, with decent and lasting bitterness. Good.

11/8/11/11/5/10

RBESG 2013. Bottle during Grand Tasting at De Molen. Bottle from 2010. Hazy deep red beer with a nice pinkish head. Fruity cherry aroma, strawberries, caramel, toffee and vanilla notes. Sweetish cherry seeds flavor, caramel, strawberries, hay, sourish, rubber notes, tart, some lingonberries. Nice and complex beer.

brokensail (16444) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Bright ruby red pour with a pink head. There’s a ton of sweet cherry aroma, a light metallic character, some grass, and a hint of lactic tartness. There’s a fair amount of malt sweetness, too. Tastes just okay. A decent cherry flavor, but definitely quite sweet. Some metallic notes, straw, grass, and mild lemon zest. A hint of cherry candy.

Scopey (14699) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2012
Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012. It pours cloudy deep red, with a light pink head. The nose is tart fruit, red berry and light spice. The taste is slightly tart, raspberry, sour cherry, lemon, wood and some underlying sweetness, with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A bit one-dimensional, but pretty tasty nonetheless.

Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2009
Bright red with a lasting pink head. Weak cherry aroma, with brettanomyces. Dry and slightly tart flavour of cherry and brett. Nice and refreshing.

bierkoning (13349) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - MAR 15, 2010
Bottle. Clear red color. Soft cherry aroma. Initial cherry flavor, almost vinous, with cherry pits, oak, marzipan and leather. Bitter walnuts. Plastic. Bone dry, but surprisingly thin and watery. A bit disappointing.
