Pours super-brilliant clear deep red with a staying, creamy, pink head. Aroma has cherries, marzipan, blue grapes, very wine-like. High carbonation, light and fairly dry mouthfeel. Flavour has fruity dryness, cherries, sweet marzipan, softly tart, light ashy. Dry, fresh and quite delicious.
Bottle. Hazy deep red colour. Sour mouldy berry aroma. Bitter fruity mouldy berry flavour. Nice one! Thanks Grovlam/yespr. pivnizub (10621) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - FEB 3, 2010
Bottle: Almost clear, bigger loose pinkish head, that quite quickly collapses, deep reddish-amber coloured; dry sourish fruity (cherries, what else) and - not artificial(!) - almondy nose with some malt underneath; quite dry sour-bitter flavour with a well hidden sweetness, medium bodied; solid fruity and almondy finish, balanced by a delicate malty sweetness. What a surprise! A fine brew...... KimJohansen (10492) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - MAR 16, 2008

Tasting at Ølbaren 2008.03.11 - Thanks Grovlam/yespr for sharing. Nice dark red with a dense head. The aroma is sour with notes of berries. The flavour har sour berries, lime peel and yeast. It’s quit sour, but also very refreshing. sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - AUG 12, 2013
75cl bottle courtesy of 77ships @ RBBSG II.
(Cold) hazy, dark red beer with medium, pink-coloured headd. Fresh cherry juice nose, some faraway wood (served terribly cold), and more than in the taste, alcohol. Sharpish cherry flavour, bit of cinnamon retronasal. Virtually no sweetness, sharp but not agressive acids Apart from the obvious cherry flavours, I detect some flavour as from red beets, strangely. Rather light body, acids helping; lipsmacking tartnes; Good kriek, not overly assertive, but very satisfying. Like it. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 12, 2010
750mL courtesy of Travlr. Pours a clear pink with a large, fizzy, pinke head that has very good retention and lace. Aroma is cherry pie, baked cherries, burnt currant. Taste is spritzy raspberry seltzer water, lots of mineral water, missing the body. No sourness or kriek notes. MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - JAN 17, 2010
(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, reddish brown colour with a collapsing red frothy head. Moderately sweet and yeasty almondy cherry-fruity aroma with a delicate malt character. Moderately sour and slightly bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Dry cherry-fruity and slightly malty taste with notes of almonds; dry fruit-accented and slightly bitter finish with a delicate malty sweetness. Well-rounded and moreish brew. 13.I.09
