A Mes rate: Bottle thanks to Jean at Moeder Lambic.
A nice clean candy apple red colour with a thin white head and lots of lace. The cherries are very restrained and the bas beer is a little more obvious than maybe I would like. The end result is rather strange and the base beer and the fruit never quite marry. The delicate sourness is good and there is some good citric notes in the finish. Odd hints of strawberry yogurt. Interesting beer but not amazing.

BlackHaddock (7106) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 31, 2012
75cl bottle with friends @ Diest Bierfest 20th Oct 2012. Pours a true red colour with a salmon pink thin head on top. Cherries being the main flavouring within the beer, they obviously lead the way in the aroma and taste: not as sour or powerful as say a Rodenbach Grand Cru but this isnt from Flanders and although not sweet either it comes across as an easy going kriekbier that is well crafted and blended nicely. Based I believe around the Loterbol Blonde, but dont quote me on that. The only kriek we had at the festival and very pleasant it was too.

caesar (7047) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUN 30, 2013
Bottled @ RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting. Dark reddish color, short head. Aroma of loads of cherries and cherry pits, marzipan. Soft sourness, quite fruity. Got some bitterness as well, but mostly lots of fruity sweetness. Little too much carbonation. Lots of fruit, could have used a bit more sourness.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this 2008 bottle at the pre-BTBF tasting. Red pour with a white head. The aroma is full of slightly tart cherries and a bit of biscuit malt. The flavor follows suit with a lot of sweet, sugary cherry notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
