750mL bottle purchased at Bierkoning on my Amsterdam trip in October, 2011 and shared at a KC gathering. 2008 bottle consumer in 2011. Pours with a thick head that fades quickly. Color is thick dark red. Aroma shows signs of age but cherry dominates. There is sweet yet natural cherry aroma with a natural musky element. As someone at the gathering stated, its like cherry pie. Flavor sweet pie with tart cherry at the back of the flavor. No age in the flavor. Mouthfeel is light and tangy. The beer is a nice fruit-beer beer akin to New Glarus but a but more natural with the musk. Pricey but fun if you want a non-artificial cherry beer.

A - Pours a dark pink, light pink fuzzy head that did not last and left little lacing, mostly clear and a nice hue in the light.
S - a sweet, sour funky combo with an acidic bite at the end of the whiff. The sweet is like candy but not in a bad way or artificial
T - Funk right off the bat leading into acidi taste then a cherry pit nuttiness and ending with a slight sweet and sour combo. Very nice but honestly could have less of the nutty/bitter flavor and more of the sweet and sour flavors
M/D - Very drinkable, a bit more carbonated than i like. I figured it would settle down but it never did. Light bodied and a bit thin at times. Leighton (22820) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2012
Bottle at Chriso’s 2012 Pre-GBBF Shindig, London. Vintage 2010. A bit gusher. Pours hazy purple with a fine, white head. Loads of ripe cherries in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with moderate tang, some bitter cherry pits, grape skins. Light to medium bodied with high carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with ripe cherries, light funk, bitter fruit skins. Light tartness. Quite nicely balanced, with decent and lasting bitterness. Good. 75cl bottle with friends @ Diest Bierfest 20th Oct 2012.
Pours a true red colour with a salmon pink thin head on top.
Cherries being the main flavouring within the beer, they obviously lead the way in the aroma and taste: not as sour or powerful as say a Rodenbach Grand Cru but this isn’t from Flanders and although not sweet either it comes across as an easy going kriekbier that is well crafted and blended nicely. Based I believe around the Loterbol Blonde, but don’t quote me on that.
The only kriek we had at the festival and very pleasant it was too. Trappist1 (646) - Diest, BELGIUM - MAR 28, 2014
Dark red beer, white disappearing head. Nose: cherry, wood, sour, tad agressive without killing the beer. Light body, sour, but very enjoyable. Overall, very nice blend. Like this. PriorL (3068) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAY 19, 2014
