Borresteijn (7335) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 28, 2015
37.5cl Bottle from ABS Drinks Winksele. 2012 version, 10.6% ABV. Aroma is light sour, lemons, brown sugar, butter, light funky. Flavour is medium sour, acetic, bitter, lemons, light malty, some alcohol, pouring some yeast in makes it more spicy, bitterness is acetone-like, tart-bitter finish. Medium bodied. It’s alright.

Bottle. Hazy golden colour, thin white foam. Funky aroma with notes of barnyard and vinegar. Vinous and fruity. Malty notes. Refreshing and well balanced. Good.

Keldergeest (1) - Berlin, GERMANY - FEB 10, 2015 does not count
woody, raisin, golden, hazy, minimal head, medium sourness, lightly bitter, soft carbonation, astringent. As a big fan of the constituting beer styles you ask yourself is this more than the sum of the parts? I think not. The geuze element loses some of it’s freshness and dryness and the tripel only surfaces at the very end, with an unconvincing hoppy bitterness. Tasty beer, but in the end not as good as a 3 Fonteinen geuze. Need to try the tripel used one of these days.

BeerandBlues2 (13638) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 26, 2015
Bottle at the hotel. Pours mostly clear pale orange with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is Pils malt, funky and farmhouse yeast, black walnut notes and light pear esters. Flavor is sweet malt, spicy and nearly fusel alcohol, earthy, barnyard, and funky yeast with pear esters, stale hops, light bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Medium carbonation, medium bodied.

Karyots (23) - BELGIUM - DEC 14, 2014
Wheatish yellow in color. No head. Fantastic balance between a 3 Fontein and a strong blond. Result is that you can taste both at the same time without any one overpowering (not very sour, not very hoppy). A very different taste experience for sure.

3.8
ElManana (2079) - Scheldewindeke, BELGIUM - DEC 12, 2014
Pours pale yellow with no head. Aroma is sour 3 fonteinen geuze, really dominating. Taste is very, very balanced. The sour of the gueuze lacks a little bit bit it’s still very very good.

ukgeeks (21) - - DEC 2, 2014
2nd Winter(s) Bierfestival Vichte: pale golden, ok head, thin body, something really balanced between citric herbal hops and sourness.
